Thought I would just ramble

Lately I've been thinking about the giant change of heart that changed my life...... Im talking about my conversion to the gospel. And I don't mean to be cheesy, or pour my soul out, but i dont even think that at this very moment or anytime lately that i can remember what brought me joy 2 years ago. I dont remember what i lived for. I suppose it was something like dance and friends brought me laughter and happiness, and my family made me feel like i belonged, i dont think i knew what joy was. I had an [amazing for me at that time] boyfriend who was my whole world, a pom squad that made me stay glued together because they needed me, and a family that as imperfect as it was, did its best to remain whole.

But now I have a purpose, I have a mission, I know what im doing here, I know where im going, I know what brings me joy, and I know what I will never let in my life again to tear it down to where it once was. I know I am a beautiful daughter of my Heavenly Father and that he loves me. I know i have a savior who died for me, {think about that}, I have someone who loved me so much, who didnt want me to suffer any pain ever that he DIED for me. I have a sure awareness of what matters in life, I smile every single time someone makes fun of me for a choice i make in my life because i know its usually because that choice brings me one step closer to my Heavenly Father, and draws me one step away from the binds of this world and the natural man way of living. I know why the temple is so important. I know what brings me joy, and will not go on without personal joy!

I love the gospel...... I love my life

The Fellowship of the Unashamed

I AM A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST.
I won't look back. let up, slow down. or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.
I'm finished and done with low living, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, positions, promotions, plaudits, or popularity.
I don't have to be right, first, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded .
I now live by Faith,
lean on HIS presence,
walk with patience.
I am uplifted by prayer, and labor with power .
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven.
My road is narrow, my way is is rough, my companions are few,
my Guide is reliable, my mission is clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided, or delayed.
I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice,
hesitate in the presence of the adversary,
negotiate at the table of the enemy,
ponder at the pool of popularity,
or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won't give up, shut up, or let up
until I have stayed up, stored up, and paid up for the cause of Christ.
I must go till he comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till he stops me.
And when He returnes for His Own,
He will have no problem recognizing me.
My Banner will be clear.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ;
for it is the power of GOD unto Salvation to ever one that believeth... " Romans 1:16.

RIP Social Life

So sometimes my friends have amazing ideas
Sometimes Natalie thinks of the best 'one-liners'
Sometimes Kristi's house has everything needed for a crazy idea
Sometimes Mama and Papa Kleisler feed Natalie and I dinner

and when i say sometimes..... I mean ALWAYS!

We had a party tonight to celebrate school
We laid to rest our social lives for the semester
It was a necessary excuse for a party

Then Natalie says,
"so to lay our social lives to rest...
doesnt that mean we had to have one first?"
FACEPALM

Remember this?

So if you Bloggy world of like 3 people that read my blog,
remember the time that I got trashed on a quad
and had pokeys in my leg for like 3 months after that?
[if you don't here is the story]

Well Kristi and I had a little bet going to get me to go quadding
If I went quadding, she had to do ballet in a tutu and tights
:D

Kristi Ann, its time to pay up! [love you]

Sometimes I wonder.....

what life would be like if personal adversity were gone

dont get me wrong, I am thankful for adversity in my life
I am grateful for the times when challenging times have been thrusted upon me
I have grown to love those times, and learn from them

But sometimes......
I wish that the battles I have with myself were gone,
I wish I could look in the mirror
and not see what satan wants me to see,
I wish I could look past my 'worldly' flaws and see my celestial self,
I wish for one day I could see
what everyone who loves me sees in me,
I wish I could love myself as much as I love my Heavenly Father and the Savior.

I realize this isn't a thing to brag about
but honestly, who doesn't feel this way sometimes
I think that is the nature of life,
I think Heavenly Father allows us to feel this conflict
so we can realize who we really are
so we can grow to love ourselves as he loves us

And loving myself that way is going to be hard,
But I bet it's worth it

oh NO he didn't!

So i pretty much have the coolest dad in the world

Tonight I came home and saw my lovely to do list GRAFFITIed

But i guess when he writes on it to tell me to write him a love letter
I cant get that mad can i?

I love my dad, who insists
on writing extra things to do on my list
its okay because every time he writes on my list
it usually says things like
"Kiss and hug your dad who thinks you are an AMAZING person"

so thank you daddy for the positive graffiti,
it makes me smile!

How firm a foundation

This is a place of comfort and peace.
This is where Heaven meets the Earth.
This is where blessings come and tears of gratitude are shed.

I love the temple, and my Heavenly Father loves me.
I am so blessed
beyond my own comprehension
to have had the foundation of the gospel laid in my heart,
and that it sunk to my very core.

I am so blessed
